Valeo and Opto Tech Corporation jointly develop next-generation headlight systems
Shanghai, April 25 (China News Service) — Global automotive lighting systems and software leader Valeo and ALPD® laser technology inventor Phison Technology announced a strategic partnership on April 24 to jointly launch a new generation of automotive lighting solutions featuring Phison's ALL-in-ONE full-color laser headlights.

Valeo and Phison will collaborate to develop a new laser-based headlight system. This innovative solution not only enhances vehicles' Adaptive Driving Beam (ADB) functionality to significantly improve road safety but also addresses drivers' growing demand for more comfortable lighting and entertainment features.
Visteon will leverage its expertise in lighting system design, electronic control unit development, and leading software capabilities. Combined with AOPT's outstanding technology in laser lighting system design, the partnership will drive the commercialization of next-generation headlight technology.
Maurizio Martinelli, CEO of Valeo Lighting, stated: “This collaboration reinforces Valeo's global leadership in next-generation lighting, integrating safety, adaptability, and an exceptional driving experience. By combining our respective strengths in automotive lighting hardware and software, this partnership not only strengthens our existing technology alliance but also embodies our shared vision to redefine intelligent vehicle lighting.”
Yuxin, Vice President of Unilumin Technology, remarked: “The collaboration between Unilumin and Valeo marks a transformative advancement in intelligent automotive lighting. By leveraging complementary strengths, we will jointly drive the development of next-generation automotive lighting solutions, accelerate the implementation of innovative technologies, and deliver safer, smarter, and more personalized driving experiences to global markets.”
Through technological integration, Valeo and AIMALLIGHT will deliver headlight solutions featuring advanced adaptive high-beam (ADB) functionality, enhancing safety and comfort for drivers and road users beyond traditional lighting (low/high beams).
Valeo will leverage its system integration and software expertise to integrate Aimallight's leading ALPD® laser technology. This headlight system supports high-definition ground projection and outdoor movie projection capabilities, enabling in-vehicle video playback on flat surfaces or dedicated screens.
The ALL-in-ONE Full-Color Laser Headlight integrates multiple advanced functions into a single compact module: Adaptive High Beam (ADB), road surface projection, and in-car cinema. Its intelligent system automatically optimizes lighting for different driving scenarios—activating high-beam mode on highways to extend illumination range and switching to anti-glare mode in urban areas to prevent light interference. Additionally, this headlight offers 10-level brightness adjustment and integrates advanced features like auto-focus, keystone correction, and image scaling.
The ALL-in-ONE Full-Color Laser Headlight utilizes OptoFoton Technology's ALPD® semiconductor laser technology. With the same DLP chip configuration, it achieves 10 times the brightness of standard automotive LEDs, a 200% increase in luminous flux, while simultaneously reducing energy consumption. (End)
